I've always known I was meant to build a career that was focused on building connection, personal growth, community, and understanding. A few years ago, I found a way to do so while also utilizing my singer/songwriter background to allow for creativity within my practice. Through this I created J.A.L.U. J.A.L.U. stands for join, accept, learn, and understand. These four ideals are at the center of my work with my clients. I studied social work at Florida Atlantic University. I received my bachelors in social work in 2016, and my masters degree in Social work in 2017. Since then, I have worked in both Florida and Colorado, full time with individuals of all ages, families, and couples. As a licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am committed to the well-being of all my clients. I have an action oriented approach within my work that is built on unique treatment goals and my client's personal strengths. My main goal is to help empower my clients, and work diligently to help find them the answers within themselves that they seek. I currently focus on individual self growth and coaching with adults and families. I specialize in work with individuals between 20 and 35, who are struggling with self esteem, trust and sense of direction. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Based interventions, somatic therapy, and emotionally focused workin with a primary focus on the subconscious brain, mindfulness, and solution focused modalities. With my background in music, I tend to implement creative elements into my therapeutic interventions, which can range from music therapy, nature therapy, poetry, meditaiton and mindfulness as well as yoga and art therapy. Through my experiences as a therapist, I have been able to create a format that follows J.A.L.U. in all of my treatment plans. Take a look at my blog for a more in-depth understanding. I look forward to helping you meet your goals

Through JALU’s specific modality, we dive into self esteem and what may be holding us back from achieving the things we want in life. Specific action steps are created to build understanding, patience, and connection points through therapy. We will dive into stress management skills, creative outlets, and finding a self care ritual that helps promote clarity and restructuring of the way we interpret stress and change.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I hope to be able to help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
It is important in my work to explore ways to engage in outlets that to not strictly involve talking through our emotional experiences. I believe that creative outlets are a way to also let go of past and present pain that we are experiencing in our bodies. I offer art therapy, as well as therapeutic yoga and meditation in my office space. (yoga coming in January)
I currently offer 50 minute sessions for individuals for $150. I offer 50 minute sessions for family and couple sessions for $175. Additional time is available for session for an additional cost, if needed.
