I've always known I was meant to build a career that was focused on building connection, personal growth, community, and understanding. Through experience in my field, I found a way to do so while also utilizing my singer/songwriter background to allow for creativity within my practice. Through this I created J.A.L.U. J.A.L.U. stands for join, accept, learn, and understand. These four ideals are at the center of my work with my clients. I studied social work at Florida Atlantic University. I received my bachelors in social work in 2016, and my masters degree in Social work in 2017. Since then, I have worked in both Florida and Colorado and now Maine, full time with individuals of all ages, families, and couples. My background is action oriented, but I've leaned much more into somatic work, especially after becoming yoga teacher trained in 2022. Something shifted inside of me as I began to realize how much of the pain we experience gets stored in not only our minds, but also in the body. It is a privilege to get to help others reconnect to themselves through self discovery and diligence. For the past few years, I specialized in work with individuals between 20 and 35, who are struggling with self esteem, trust and sense of direction, but through this have become especially integrated with grief work. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Based interventions, somatic therapy, and emotionally focused workin with a primary focus on the subconscious brain, mindfulness, and solution focused modalities, and much more recently S.A.F.E. EMDR and intensives with EMDR. With my background in music, I tend to implement creative elements into my therapeutic interventions, which can range from music therapy, nature therapy, poetry, meditation and mindfulness as well as yoga and art therapy. Through my experiences as a therapist, I have been able to create a format that follows J.A.L.U. in all of my treatment plans. I look forward to chatting more about your unique goals.

Grief can take the person you once knew yourself to be, and completely shift every aspect of your understanding in this world. It can strip a person of connection and meaning within moments. Whether a traumatic and sudden loss, or one you anticipated over time, grief and loss occur throughout life and are not given the space and understanding that they truly require in our society. With JALU, we work to rebuild.

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through my modalities, we hope to help you find yourself again; to help to recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
It is important in my work to explore ways to engage in outlets that do not strictly involve talking through our emotional experiences. I believe that creative outlets are a way to move through past and present pain that we are experiencing in our bodies. I offer art therapy, as well as therapeutic yoga and meditation in my office space.
I currently offer 50 minute sessions for individuals for $150. I offer 50 minute sessions for family and couple sessions for $200. Additional time is available for session for an additional cost, if needed. For my work with S.A.F.E. EMDR Intensives, we create a specific and individualized therapeutic experience that requires a commitment of at least 3 hour sessions. I also offer 6 hour full day intensives.
