Release & Renew is an Earth Day retreat that Marissa and I are putting together to bring women ages 25 to 45 together to connect, break through emotional barriers that are common at these stages of life, and find new ways to move through painful experiences that are commonly dealt with on our own. We want to cultivate a space for each member to learn, share, understand, and build a community with one another. We hope to make this experiences unique. We don’t expect to run this retreat as one might typically expect. Yes, we will incorporate plenty of group sharing, but we also expect to utilize different techniques to help locate where emotional discomfort sits in the body, and release through somatic exercises, yoga, meditation and breathing techniques. Our hope is that we not only build a trust within the group, but that we learn new ways to trust our bodies and minds as well.
What to Bring:
Yoga Mat
Journal and pen
Comfortable clothes/yoga clothes
Water Bottle
An Open Mind
A desire to reconnect
The retreat with be held this Earth Day to help remind us to stay grounded as we integrate some of these healing practices. Earth day is April 22nd, 2023 and the retreat will be held from 9 am to 5 pm. The cost for the day long retreat is $200 total. This will be a one day retreat and we will provide light options for breakfast and will be taking orders for our lunch at noon to be included in our cost. We will be taking a deposit at the time of sign up, after we meet for our consultation to assure this retreat is a good fit for you and to introduce ourselves. After you fill out a sign up sheet, we will contact you to schedule a short 15 minute consultation and from there secure your spot through a deposit of $100. The remaining $100 of the payment will be expected at the beginning of the day of the retreat. We will accept Zelle, Venmo, check, or cash. We value the commitment it takes to show up in this vulnerable space, and we want to assure you’re getting a full experience each time you show up and build trust with this community. We hope that this fills your cup as much as it fills ours. The group will be held at my office space in Denver. The address is 1600 N Pennsylvania St, unit 104, Denver CO. We do recommend getting to group a few minutes early as it is street parking. I typically have not had too much trouble finding spots very close to the building.

Marissa and I met through a networking event she put together for therapists to connect. I immediately knew I wanted to do some sort of collaboration with her after learning a bit about what she does in her own practice. Learn more about Marissa on her website www.wildsensetherapy.com
Group work has always had a special place in my heart. I have found a passion in working with women in this age range to increase self esteem, identify road blocks, and work toward self acceptance. This retreat just feels right. I put together many groups back when I was an intern in my masters program. To watch the bonds that can bloom in these settings is so special in so many ways. There is creativity that gets to unravel in a group setting that is hard to find anywhere else. I am so excited that Marissa felt the same way. With my background in music, yoga, and creative expression, I feel this is a perfect place to practice integration. I’m so excited to get started.
